A genuine specialism

Not-for-profit audit, at the core of the practice.

For many firms, not-for-profit audit is an add-on. For us it is the focus.

That focus means a genuine, working command of the frameworks not-for-profits and charities operate within — the ACNC regime, general and special purpose reporting, and the particular obligations that come with grant funding and ancillary fund status. It is the difference between an auditor who knows the sector and one who is learning it on your engagement.

It also means partner-level attention as standard. When you engage the firm, the audit is led personally by Prellin Chetty — the Registered Company Auditor responsible for the opinion — not delegated down a chain of junior staff. You deal directly with the person accountable for the work.

The auditor

An experienced audit practitioner.

Prellin Chetty is a CPA with 26 years in the profession and a Registered Company Auditor. His audit career began well before Alternative Accounting — as Audit Manager for a mid-tier firm in Sydney, and earlier with KPMG in South Africa and revenue authorities in two countries. Today that experience is focused on the not-for-profit and SME sectors, and on ACNC reporting.
